But they needed help bootstrapping and creating a unified design language that could seamlessly blend across their multi-brand ecosystem. We extracted all the components and patterns that compose their user interfaces. This audit was crucial for recognizing patterns and identifying design elements quintessential to Up2You's brand identity. **Design architecture definition** We defined the design architecture for all future components. We introduced semantic tokens — tokens that attach meaning to design elements by function rather than appearance (e.g. "primary action" vs. a color). This approach made the design system more intuitive and adaptable. **Component design and iteration** We designed and specified 30+ components across 100+ iterations, ensuring each element worked across 2 digital products and supported dark mode. **Multi-brand system delivery** We delivered a complete design UI kit ready to support multiple digital products in the portfolio.
